I'm actually getting Botox for cervical dystonia!

Happy to report that I have no side effects and it does elevate my neck pain, which in turn helps a little bit with the overall fatigue. It wears off way too fast though.

Okay, this is a superficial question 😂 has anyone gotten Botox for cosmetic or jaw pain and if so did you have side affects? I am thinking of trying but scared I’ll get a flare or side affects from it.

Botox for migraine helped the intense pain that felt like my skull was in a vice 24/7. Some of the sensations are probably here to stay at 4 years.

I've been getting Botox for migraines on and off for quite a few years now. I started it to treat bruxism and my migraines disappeared. It melts the pain away like nothing I've ever tried. Obviously it's quite expensive, but worth the spend.

I’ve gotten used to the side effects, it makes me spacey/more brain fogged. I am also less stable on my feet and more clumsy. I avoid driving or doing anything cognitive when I take it (I take it as needed, not continuously).

However it’s been great for my nerve pain and it also reduces muscle pain and the poisoned feeling I get with PEM.

I've heard of one ME patient who tried botox for migraines and had a really bad reaction. Sorry, don't remember the details, but she regretted it. a patient

I think Botox would be pretty safe since there is no live bacteria. But there isn't a lot of data, so it's definitely a personal choice.

It didn't do anything for me, but no side-effects either.

Yup, my condition were well controlled with botox for a while before I got COVID, then afterwards were out of control. I get stellate ganglion blocks now which has helped get them to settle down a lot.
