To calculate the reported effectiveness for a patient view, the model first analyses whether it can be ascertained that the person writing the review has had direct experience of the treatment for themselves or a loved one. If so, it then uses sentiment analysis to rate their view from 1-5 on how effective this treatment was for them, with 1 being the least effective, and 5 the most effective.

I started taking tributyrin about 8 weeks ago and have seen great improvements in my gastrointestinal symptoms. This is after 3 years of nothing having much of an effect, except time (working very slowly). Butyrate is a post-biotic the body normally produces but LC disrupts this. Would definitely recommend as worth looking into.

Sodium butyrate
Butyrate and butryaic acid play a lot of important roles in the body, all of which seem to be impacted by ME, from the intestinal lining to the blood brain barrier, it also plays an important role in the uptake of glucose to the mitochondria, producing atp which is pretty important to energy hemostais too
It felt so weird taking it, due to what felt like a decrease in intercranial pressure, which also had a dramatic impact on my migraines, mostly likely due to improving the structural integr8ty of the blood brain barrier, of which butyrate is used heavily in its structure
That said, this is all based on my own hypothesis, and I am not a doctor, but I have read hundreds of research papers over the years, which formed the basis of my understanding that lead to this. It seriously radically improved my quality of life, and that of a couple of acquaintances I recommended it to, plus it's easily available pretty cheaply on amazon

This is what I take Aliness Sodium Butyrate 100mg
It could be that there's still an unknown variable that can impact butyrate production, which could explain why some people find it more helpful than others, as there's been a few others I've known who've had a major improvement to quality of life
For me, it took me from severe back to moderate, so it's important to remember it's not a cure, but it did relieve a lot of symptoms, the main ones being brain fog and migraines, though it felt weird as what was a return to a more normal headspace felt incredibly surreal due to the distortion I'd normalised

Has anyone had success with butyrate capsules or working on the microbiome in general?
I have improved a lot of my cognitive functions and seem to do better in general with butyrate capsules (my microbiome analysis showed overgrowth of enterococcus which seems to be a marker of CFS/ME) and homotaurine. I have been on this for 3-4 weeks only. Unfortunately, fatigue remains and is as bad as ever.

I have been taking butyrate, probiotics an lots of other supplements. I improved the best after I started taking the SSRI Fluvoxamine and don't have Fatigue nor brain fog anymore however I am still not good. I still have joint pain, light sensitivity, a little of anxiety. It's been 10 months for me and I am always in fear of getting worse.

Yes, sorry, I meant sodium butyrate. I take Butyflam coated, 2x 3 capsules per day 1 hour before breakfast and lunch, respectively. Each capsule has 500 mg sodium butyrate. That being said, I do also take probiotics, because my doctor advised me to. I think at the time it was also important for me to take some because I did not tolerate fermented foods, which is the natural source for probiotics. I have actually not checked into studies for LC/ME and probiotics, which may have some advantages as compared to the usual studies that were done after people take antibiotics. I have to say in my case, and I had a pretty messed up belly, the combination of Butyflam, probiotics and resistant starch type 3 (Fibraform Med) worked very nicely.

Hey I'm still working on it, but here are the main things I've been trying. I cannot tell you what has had the strongest effect, but I have seen positive outcomes in mood, digestion, appetite, and bowel movements.
• Sodium Butyrate • LP299v (Lactobacillus Plantarum 299v) • L-Glutamine • Generally eating more probiotic foods
I did start to feel a huge amount of peace and pleasure after starting these. I think it's an increase of serotonin, which makes sense given the gut's role. It definitely helped me feel better despite my other symptoms. More hopeful too.
I have also started taking BPC-157 and KPV (research peptides) in combination with two others (PEA and Tributyrin) that are supposed to help decrease gut inflammation. Though I'm only 3 days in, so I can't speak to efficacy yet.
Lastly, I am taking a Biomesite test to see where my gut bacteria levels are at so I can try and fix their composition.

Huh, that would make sense I've found sodium butryate helped a lot, for a variety of symptoms too, but both interact with the krebs cycle, which seems to be a core point where somethings going wrong 🤔

Well, I just read the first page, and to summarize: • Clostridium is a probiotic and it's awesome. • It increases butyrate while reducing lactate. • It's available on Amazon, under the brand Miyarisan (Miss Clever Girl? ADORABLE.) • Start low and go slow (que surprise!) Some digestive rumblings are normal at the start, and whenever you up it. • For some who have NEVER had betterment of their symptoms, this is the one thing that has helped. <3 - my friend
