To calculate the reported effectiveness for a patient view, the model first analyses whether it can be ascertained that the person writing the review has had direct experience of the treatment for themselves or a loved one. If so, it then uses sentiment analysis to rate their view from 1-5 on how effective this treatment was for them, with 1 being the least effective, and 5 the most effective.

FYI for the future: there have been some studies showing that carrageenan nasal sprays like Betadine and CPC mouthwashes like Crest Gumcare reduce viral load if you use them 2-3x per day for 5 days after exposure. This can either prevent infection or lessen severity depending on your level of exposure. I’ve been doing this on the occasions when I can’t mask and have avoided reinfection for over 2 years now. Fingers crossed for you!

I first purchased when living with someone who was reinfected to help as protection control alongside other control methods. I continue to use when I manage to leave & return from my home. It is designed to block and trap inhaled virus particles it's also gentler when it comes to spraying as the formula has been engineered to ‘plume’ rather than ‘jet’ when applied with a typical nasal spray applicator which makes this the friendlier Nadal spray re nasal scensory discomfort.
NoriZite™ contains two main ingredients: carrageenan, an antiviral agent known for inhibiting infection against several respiratory viruses2, and gellan gum, which ensures effective coverage and retention in the nasal cavity. Both are polysaccharides that coat and retain virus particles so they do not infect local cells.

Ugh thank you for this. I (the patient) have been doing the CPC mouthwash and carrageenan nasal spray, plus Paxlovid. But I also took Paxlovid the first time, so who knows. My POTS is already back as bad as ever but as long as I don’t have the debilitating brain fog and PEM again 😫🤞 I hope it works out for you too!

We mask in crowded places, like stores, and use a nasal spray called Covixyl. There are many others available as well.
This one is new, and supposed to work well. I have some ordered.
Here’s some reading about sprays:

Method 1:
Brisk black tea with salt packet for netti pot. Rinse frequently. Make sure you boil your water for a few minutes to enforce sterility.
Method 2: I snort a mixture of 75% Berberine HCl and 25% Black Tea Extract every few hours and follow it up with Iota-carageenan nasal spray. 5 or 10 mgs up each nostril every 24 hours.
According to the latest research you should have 24 hours before the infection moves past the pharyngeal spaces. I doubt very much that the latest research considered longhaulers, many of whom are going to be physiologically more vulnerable to reinfection, but the above methods are definitely going to reduce the pharyngeal founder population which will ultimately translate to less strain on your immune resources.

It just came through my house in friends. I avoided it with black tea sinus washes, snorting bumps of berberine every few hours, and chasing the berberine with iota-carrageenan xylitol nasal spray. My spouse was positive via rapid test for 15 days. Returned to work in an empty on Day 10. My employer came in after her and ended up becoming symptomatic about six days later. Impossible to say whether or not he caught it from the office after she left, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

I didn't see any where in this article that lists what is in the spray, nor did I see anywhere that links to any PEER-REVIEWED research, not even a pre-print. This feels scam-ish.
EDIT: So I did some more research. Most news agencies publishing on this (And there are a few but mostly local to Boston where research was done) don't even have link to study, but Harvard Gazette did. This is the study: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/adma.202406348?utm_campaign=publicity&utm_content=WRH_9_23_24&utm_medium=email&utm_source=publicity&utm_term=ADMA
There's not a lot visible there without paying but there is in the "Supporting Information" section a file that seems to have some info and on page 3 looks like it may be a list of the ingredients in the spray experimented with but not sure....https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/action/downloadSupplement?doi=10.1002%2Fadma.202406348&file=adma202406348-sup-0001-SuppMat.docx
Those are:
• Gellan gum • Pectin (disaccharide) • HPMC AKA hydroxypropyl methylcellulos • CPC AKA cetylpyridinium chloride • Xanthan • Carbopol (941) • K-Carrageenan

Thank you so much for this video. I got M.E. from a vaccine in 2009 and it has been such a struggle to get advice on my specific situation regarding the Covid vaccine. I made the same call as you and have been doing all the things you mentioned and have managed to avoid Covid so far. I didn't know about the mouthwash tip though, so thank you for that! We use the Viraleze and Norizite nose sprays. Viraleze has had some promising studies. You can get both from Amazon. Thank you again! It's comforting (albeit sad) to hear of others in the same position.
